Study
Student life involves studying as well as partying, but you're not alone in that! KDA supports chemistry and biochemistry students in various ways:
Second-hand book sale
A new academic year means new courses... and often a whole pile of expensive books. That's why KDA is once again organizing a secondhand book sale, so you can buy your textbooks at a more affordable price.
The books are collected from students in higher years who no longer need them. First-years (and other interested parties) can then purchase them at a reduced price. The price is determined by the condition of the book (A, B, or C), so you can choose how much you want to save.
Can't make it during the sale? No worries! Unsold books will remain available online for another week.

Exam bundle "Top Secret"
Want to be truly prepared for your exams? Then Top Secret is indispensable. This exam bundle contains carefully compiled exam questions from previous years and is updated annually by the mentors to offer the most complete and up-to-date version possible.
It is without a doubt one of the most valuable documents for your studies: a targeted way to gain insight into questions, emphases and expectations per subject.
Access to Top Secret is exclusively for members. Don't have a membership card yet? No problem! Even after the opening day, you can still get one by contacting us through our website or social media.

Academy & Company is a free networking event for students of chemistry, biotechnology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences and other life sciences.
In collaboration with KVCV, we bring students into direct contact with the Flemish chemical and biotechnology sector.
Our goal is to bridge the gap between academia and industry through internships, student jobs, and career opportunities.
During one-on-one interviews, students gain a realistic picture of the professional field and can share their CV with participating companies.

Mentoring moments

Because the start of the academic year often involves new professors, challenging courses, and comprehensive textbooks, KDA organizes a mentoring session specifically for first-year students.
During this session, you'll receive practical information and valuable study tips about your first-year subjects. This will help you feel confident from day one.
Students from higher years are also very welcome to share their own tips & tricks and share their experiences.
Lectures
Because the start of a new semester often brings new challenges, KDA and Jong-KVCV jointly organize an engaging lecture for all students each semester.
The lecture theme varies each time, consistently addressing current, relevant, or in-depth topics within our program. From academic insights to practical experiences and career opportunities, each edition offers new perspectives and inspiration.
The lectures are open to students of all years and offer an ideal opportunity to brush up on knowledge, ask questions, and engage in conversation with fellow students and speakers. In this way, KDA and Jong-KVCV aim to offer our student community valuable content each semester.
