Academy and Company
Academy & Company is a dynamic networking event designed exclusively for students in chemistry, biotechnology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, and other life sciences disciplines. Organised in cooperation with Jong-KVCV, this job fair creates a direct bridge between ambitious students and the Flemish chemical and biotechnological industry.

Participation is completely free of charge for students. Our mission is clear: to reduce the gap between academia and the private sector by fostering meaningful connections, promoting internships and student jobs, and offering insights into real career opportunities within our partner companies.

Since its successful first edition in 2019 — which welcomed eight companies and 60 registered students — Academy & Company has continued to grow into a valuable platform where talent meets opportunity. In recent years, we have consistently welcomed between 100 and 150 participants annually, reflecting the increasing interest from both students and companies.

Through structured one-on-one conversations between company representatives and students, participants gain a realistic and personal perspective on the professional world — insights that are often not fully covered within university education. Upon registration, students have the opportunity to upload their CV, which is then shared directly with the participating companies, ensuring targeted and efficient networking.
